Dit is de blog van het Go for IT project van The Patching Zone. Je kunt hier niet alleen lezen en zien wat de mensen van het team uitspoken als ze met het Go for IT project bezig zijn maar ook wat er verder gebeurt met een groep mensen die in een nieuwe omgeving aan een ingewikkeld project werken. Patching Zone

Wat is de Patching Zone?
Patching Zone is een groep mensen die samen aan een project werken. Ze komen uit verschillende plaatsen in de wereld met verschillende achtergronden. De Patching Zone werkt volgens het principe van Processpatching, dat door Anne Nigten is bedacht. Het gaat ervan uit dat als mensen op een doordachte manier samenwerken aan culturele technologische projecten het resultaat meer kan zijn dan de som der delen. Er gebeurt iets dat in een andere werksituatie niet zo makkelijk voorkomt: door van elkaar te leren en elkaar te stimuleren ontstaat er een leer/werksituatie die voor iedereen positief uitwerkt.


Wat doet Patching Zone op Feijenoord?
In opdracht van Pact op Zuid en in het kader van Go for IT maakt Patching Zone een stadsspel waar alle jongeren uit Zuid tussen 13 en 24 jaar aan mee kunnen doen. Maar voor het zover is gaat er nog een hoop gebeuren. Er worden bijvoorbeeld workshops georganiseerd waarin je leert hoe je een stadsspel met je mobiele telefoon kunt maken en natuurlijk gaan we de buurt in om de mensen te leren kennen. Dat is niet zo eenvoudig als het lijkt want de meesten van ons spreken geen Nederlands. Om het ijs te breken gaan we op deze blog meer over onszelf en wat we hier doen vertellen.


What is The Patching Zone?
The Patching Zone is a group of people who work together on a project. They come from different parts of the world and have different backgrounds. The Patching Zone works according to the Processpatching method, that is created by Anne Nigten. The idea is that when people work together in a well considered way on technological cultural projects, the result can be more than the sum of the parts. Ideally, something will happen that is not common in a working process: by learning from each other and stimulating each other a learning/working situation occurs that is positive for every participant.


What is Patching Zone doing on feijenoord?
Commissioned by Pact op Zuid, The Patching Zone creates Go for IT, a citygame that all people on Zuid between 13 and 24 years old can participate in, but before we have the game ready there will be many activities over the next year including workshops for local young people, given by The Patchingzone team and special invited guests, the workshops will introduce ideas of creating citygames with your mobile phone. The team will also hang out with the people of feijenoord. This may not be as easy as it seems because most of us don't speak Dutch. To break the ice we are going to tell more about ourselves and what we do here on this blog.
